The Fall 2023 Panhandle Salt Pompano Showdown has KICKED OFF!
Alright, Anglers. We are preparing to open up registration. September 1st sponsorship closes, and we will know how much cash donations we have for prize money. All payouts come directly from our sponsors, so make sure you swing by their tent at the weigh-in to thank them. These events would not be possible without them.
$45 entry fee for adults and $15 for kids 12 and under which includes a tournament fishing towel that MariTirado has designed. You will need to be present at the weigh-in to receive your towel. We will not mail them out. If you cannot make the weigh-in, you can have a buddy grab it for you. They will just need your angler number.
VIDEO EVIDENCE OF YOUR CATCH WILL BE NEEDED AT THE WEIGH-IN!
Same as always, angler numbers will go out the night before the tournament, video evidence of your catch will need to be presented if you place as a winning angler.
We have decided to eliminate the whiting category moving forward. The amount of placements for pompano will depend on the final count of payouts collected. It will be either 1-6, or 1-8.
Kids will stay the same. 3 winners. Fishbites Brett Burford has announced that FishBites will be handling the kids prizes once again. 6 tournaments in a row for these guys, and they continue to come in strong.
Put in that PTO tournament angler's! This is going to be a good one.
We incorporated a "Tier" system for sponsorship this Fall, and will continue with this practice moving forward. It highlights the top sponsors by giving them prime real estate at the weigh-in, and a banner with their logo that will hang for 30-days at the event site. I would like to point out that a lot of our sponsors wanted these spots, but it was first come first serve. We have an overwhelming amount of support at these events, and we continue to be amazed every 6-months when we open up sponsorship.
