Rules & Regulations
Register and pay the $40 entry fee to participate.
Begin fishing April 1, 2026.
Submit catches in person at Panhandle Salt.
All fish must be weighed within 48 hours of being caught. NO FROZEN FISH.
Surf fishing only. Bays, boats, kayaks, jetties, and piers are off-limits.
Once you’ve weighed a Florida limit of six pompano (11" fork minimum), you’ll appear on the leaderboard.
All six fish do not need to be weight at once. Bring them in as you catch them.
You can keep replacing your lightest fish — there’s no submission limit.
The tournament ends April 30 at 2:00 PM.
Winners: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Heaviest Single Fish.
Weighing Fish:
The shop is open 10 AM–4 PM daily, and Sundays until noon. To weigh fish before 10 AM, call 305-910-9134 to confirm availability.
Format
There will be no separate categories for The Upper Limit. In past years, we separated guides from weekend anglers, but it’s no longer necessary — most guides work full-time and fish just as often as everyone else.
The same fish can be weighted for both Upper Limit and Panhandle Salt Pompano Showdown. Anglers are encouraged to fish both events.
