The birth of Panhandle Salt came after creating, marketing, organizing, and running the operations of multiple pompano surf fishing tournaments along the Panhandle's coastline.
During the final day of the tournaments at weigh-ins, we started recognizing the surprising attitudes of surf anglers when in competition. All were pleasant! The smiles, shaking of hands, collaborations between companies, and the overall joy that was flooring encouraged us. The aura was way better than expected with 200 fishermen competing, and multiple companies selling similar products. We quickly realized that land-based beach anglers are a different breed of a sportsman. At this point, we knew we had stumbled onto something special.
Our target with the creation of Panhandle Salt is to share with the planet the passion, creativity, camaraderie, and excitement that comes stock within the surf fishing community, and to invite all visitors that choose the Panhandle for beach vacations into our wonderful world.

We created a channel in 2021 to document our adventures on, and off the beach. Kayak fishing, primitive camping, tackle reviews, and of course surf fishing is the main focus with the content.
